Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through VCE with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?
Give us a call and we will organise a chemistry tutor in Yarrambat to come to your home for one-on-one tutoring, at a time that works for you and your child.
We allocate local Yarrambat chemistry tutors so scheduling is never an issue. Changed your mind or need to postpone the lesson? No worries, there are no cancellation costs.
On top of that, the first lesson is a trial so if you don't like the tutor we'll find someone else who is better suited.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Talking aloud has improved substantially in the short amount of time we have been working on it. Checking back is something that we're slowly trying to incorporate into Lachie's habits. He is also beginning to learn that it is okay to be wrong at times, as long as he is learning from his mistakes. Avoiding lazy thinking is something that is a work in progress, because Lachie often finds himself just guessing the answer rather than spending a little more time trying to properly solve the equation
Very good attitude. Wants to learn, and enjoys solving problems. Zois always attempts problems and puts pen to paper. Has attempted all homework tasks and always makes a good effort within the time constraints. Consistently good.
Selin still has a number of gaps in the fundamentals of mathematics. While we are working to fill these gaps, Selin appears to do limited if any work outside of class which slows this process down significantly. The biggest issue, as mentioned above, is consistency in study habits and consistency in them. She needs to complete the work to be able to complete the master the techniques which she is taught and also move forward in her understanding.
We are very pleased with the program to date. Stephen is a very nice young man and a good tutor. David our son enjoys his teaching style and tutoring.
I was very happy with James' tutoring. Warren was a great tutor for James and as I mentioned on the phone,I wish we had found him sooner. In the short time that James did have his tutoring, I did notice he has become more confident and independent with his maths. Although he is still not a straight A student, he did show some improvement.
Thank you for the follow up. Belinda is fantastic. Ben really likes her. I know it has only been 3 weeks but Ben is already feeling more confident with his maths. His exams start next week so Belinda is revising with him. I'm very happy, thank you.
