Physics is such a vast area, it's easy to get lost. While a lot of the content can be simply memorised, which many students still do, physics also requires higher-order thinking. Understanding the scientific method isn't a small task. All of these demands in a short period of time and with exams coming closer and closer, no wonder students shy away from science subjects. The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
she was very unorganised and exhausted form the 1 hour of french lessons she had just had. however she still managed to do all of the hard questions i threw at her. she didn't buy the note book i wanted her to have so i can write formulas which was frustrating as i couldn't write down things for her to review.
Olivia is a clever girl and it is clear that she is able to correct on her own mistakes and pick up on new concepts quickly. Her attitude in our lessons have been great and I can see that she is putting in hard work to remember the things that we learn as we go; fantastic job! However, I would like her to complete the things I set out as homework, as they will help her improve and be able to do the questions even without me being right next to her.
I think Chels' main struggle for maths is breaking down what a question is asking and knowing how to actually start the question. In terms of biology, there's some definitions and concepts which are similar but different, and questions which require deductive reasoning. Generally, this term is quite content-heavy, which means there's quite a large amount of information that Chels has to not only retain, but be able to apply.

Dania our tutor is a blessing! My daughter is able to open up to Dania and has managed to engage conversations/ relationship/ trust and so just after a few lessons she's now able to have a better understanding of maths concepts where as before she was really struggling to comprehend it. Although my daughter still has much more to learn I'm confident that Dania will be able to take her to the next level.
We had our 1st session tonight with David and it went really well. My son connected with him immediately even though he was nervous about tutoring and didn't really want to do it prior to tonight. After he had his session with David he said it was fun! I was pleasantly surprised to hear him say that and he asked that David come back next week instead of waiting a fortnight! We are very happy so far.
Things are going well with Amelia's tutoring and we are happy so far with the help Justin has given her. There was a decent improvement in her last maths assessment performance so that's a good sign!
