On the Grade Average worksheet, select G7 and type "Average." In cell G8, use a formula to generate the average of the contents in Cells B8:F8. Use the fill handle to populate your results through G10. The syntax for the Excel Average function is the following: AVERAGE(argument1, [argument2],...). Arguments can be numbers, named ranges, cell references that contain numbers, or arrays. Select Cell A12, and enter "Class Average." Use a formula to generate the average of IP Assignment 1 in cell B12. Use the fill across handle to populate your results of averaging the other assignments to F12

I'm trying to use the fill handle to sequentially copy a formula down a column with part of the formula increasing by a value of 6 for each row. Formula: =('Workbook2.csv''!$E$1) The next cell will be Formula: =('Workbook2.csv''!$E$7) Then 13, 19, 25 etc. I filled in the first two rows in the column with the above and tried using the fill handle but it gives an error stating that a trend could not be determined or it just goes 1,7,1,7,1,7,1,7,etc. Am I missing something or is what i'm trying to do not possible?

In cell C11, insert a relative reference to the loan amount in C4. In cell D11, insert an absolute reference to the monthly payment amount in G4. In cell G11, use relative references to add the values in cells C11 and F11. Select the range D11:G11, and then use the fill handle to copy the functions to row 12. In cell C12, insert a relative reference to the ending balance in cell G11. Select the range A11:B12, and then use the fill handle to complete the columns through row 70. (Note the cells to select here - it is just A11:B12 - not the whole range.)
