The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Through tutoring Harun, I've employed some learning strategies in our sessions. I've tried talking aloud to enable Harun to understand what i'm doing, back checking- mechanisms to see if the answer obtained is correct or not.
Never a problem with attitude, always eager to learn and work. Sometimes very tired - Year 11 is hard, I know, but you still need to take care of yourself. Take naps, sleep properly and do what you need to make effective use of your learning time. Always willing and eager. No problems here. Not really any problems here. Would be very helpful if we could obtain a unit/term outline of subjects covered, so we can look at concepts before they are covered in class, making them a little easier.
Vanessa needs to familiarise herself with memory triggers because I noticed that sometimes I need to remind her what solution to do but after that she knows how to solve the problem. Consistency. She got good results in her test but I saw some questions that I know we have solved together.
We really cannot speak highly enough of Conaire. He is communicative, polite, always on time, and most importantly, highly competent with maths. From their first meeting, Tim has enjoyed and benefited greatly from his tutoring and encouragement. On a scale of 1 to 10, Conaire rates a 10+ (with no exaggeration at all).
Will has been the best match for my son Patrick to date. He really enjoys working with Will.
Very happy - Su is a very good tutor and we're very happy with the tutoring thus far.
