What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy watching my students gain confidence in the areas I am teaching. I love when a student is able to fully grasp a concept and be completely confident in their own skills. I love being able to foster development and assist students in their fluency in solving problems.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Since I have worked with tutors before, I believe I am able to reflect on personal experiences and apply the techniques that work. I also strive to be a great listener, so that I am able to fully understand where the student is having issues and come up with the best solution to suit their needs. I am also an adaptable person meaning I am able to adapt to each student's unique understanding and adjust my teaching to suit them.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

As I touched on previously, the understanding that each student learns differently is important for ensuring that my tutoring sessions are valid. I believe that the best thing a tutor can do for their students is adapt to the student's unique learning style and ensure that they are not only understanding the concepts, but also enjoying their time spent learning and practicing. I have had a lot of experience with this during my time as a Netball coach as I was able to observe how each girl responded to different drills or explanations, and then adapt my teachings to suit the individual players.
