The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Some strategies are still not being used, particularly backchecking while doing the problem. Can't see minor errors until after I say it's incorrect or while I'm checking his working. Other strategies are visible such as self questioning which shows he is thinking about his working and the method he used and whether it is correct or incorrect.
She has a positive attitude towards her learning. She wants to learning has that childhood curiosity that drives their motivation to find new things. She puts in a lot of effort during the lessons and enjoys doing the work.
Piper needs to be more sure of herself and I am currently working on showing her how to separate maths questions into smaller, easier parts to then solve as a whole. It is unhelpful to say "I can't do this question" as it reduces confidence. Often Piper will decide to not try and approach a problem that she sees as too difficult, when actually she does have the skills required if she breaks the question down into smaller parts. This is something I will continue working on with Piper.

Deepti has been working with my daughter on her year 9 Maths this year and we have seen a great improvement in both her skill level and her confidence. Deepti is very reliable, friendly and professional and I can highly recommend her skills as a tutor.
Dion is actually excited about Maths again and told me the other day I really like Maths now, after spending the majority of this year hating it and feeling down on himself because he just couldn't understand some of the strands and considered himself to be really bad at it, even though his results in NAPLAN and school reports did not reflect this, it was just that he had lost all confidence. So we are so excited for him, that he's gained that confidence back and he thoroughly looks forward to Nav coming every week. So just after 2 weeks, I want to say how beyond happy we all are with Nav and Ezy Math as an entire organisation. Your correspondence has been very thorough and extremely helpful with lots of great tips and explanations. You've managed to turn this Maths learning experience from a negative one to a positive in just a couple of weeks. We can't wait to see what great success Dion can achieve with the help of Nav.
Gracie, she has been very accommodating and has had the patience to work with my son. Even though I have not met her in person, she seems to be very dedicated.
