I have been encouraging Brianna to develop some of these learning strategies, such as talking aloud, putting pen to paper, self questioning and back checking. She is getting better at all of these strategies, but I will continue to work on these with her. She seems to struggle with attempting questions she doesn't completely know, which is one of the main issues I'm trying to address through these strategies.
During lessons, although Hayden does pay attention most of time, at times he seems to uninterested in doing Math so he doesn't listen to what I say. But after a short break, he usually gets back on track.
From this point, the only problem areas occur with difficult and tricky questions. This is where I would like to see Graeme use all available resources to his disposal. This is also a critical time for Graeme to further develop his knowledge in areas and address any gaps that we were yet to cover.
