There are many nuances to learning biology, and many students figure it out too late to help them with their grades. Working with great biology tutors in Torrens Park, it's something we've seen time and time again.
Learning biology is cumulative, you can't really skip any steps because the concepts are intricately interconnected. Before you can take on complex concepts and processes, you need to understand the basics. With the help of a tutor most students find it easier to learn how to use drawings and diagrams, read with purpose, utilize lab notes
and use the knowledge in new situations so it really sticks.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Good pen to paper, need to remind of talking out loud, questions her self (most of the times unnecessary, needs to believe in her self). Guesses a lot. I encourage her to try and explain things that she isn't sure. Transfer skills need some work. Often able to apply S*tD to find distance, but might get stuck on finding time (as an example)
Olivia has shown some positive attitude towards maths in the past few weeks. She puts in the effort, but still needs to go over basic maths topics (pre - algebra) and practice some questions at-least 2 times a week or 1 hour on the weekends. I can prepare that for her if she is willing to do them. Work habits are good so far and no homework has been given as she has been doing online OLNA practice questions.
Again, has a few issues with some basic algebra, but when I force her to take it step by step, then she does not have as much issues. She occasionally has issues with algebra, but constant practise will allow her to become better. In addition, sometimes her notation is incorrect, which I always point out as writing down things wrong could lead to misinterpretation and hence she may lose marks
