I consider myself a patient person; should a student have any difficulty understanding a certain concept or idea, I would be more than happy to go over everything again until they are confident. I am also flexible and can explain materials in different way because I understand that not every student understand materials the same way. One of the most important things that a tutor can do for a student is to communicate with and listen to them. This helps a tutor identify the struggles that the student might have in interpreting certain materials and hence, find a suitable method to address the issue. A tutor also needs to build a good relationship with their student by getting to know them as an individual.
