What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I like being able to focus on students' needs as individuals or small groups and establishing a good rapport while spending quality learning time. Teaching large groups or classes is difficult to regularly spend enough time in the classroom to see substantial improvement. Lastly, I get a lot of satisfaction seeing students achieve their learning goals.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my strengths as a tutor is that I am strongly motivated to see students improve their knowledge in maths, while I have had to develop considerable patience and adaptability when tutoring online over the years. Also, I like to think creatively when using concrete materials in a practical way or using technology to represent abstract concepts. I believe I am focused in guiding students reaching learning goals through explicit teaching and modelling.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Above all, tutors need to be dependable, reliable and efficient when guiding students in their learning. Tutors need to provide students with explicit, step-by-step instruction when modelling concepts that are difficult for them. This would be followed by lots of practice and positive feedback.
