What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to watch the student progress and gradually understand the content. Similarly, I also enjoy forming a mentoring relationship with the student as I am able to learn about life from their perspective.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have good communication skills, which will help the student learn content. I am also patient - I will always be willing to repeat my explanations or modify then to garuntee understanding. I believe my knowledge of mathematics make me very enthusiastic about maths and teaching it.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing I can do for a student is being able to modify my explanations to suit different students. I believe being a good listener encourages the student to verbalise their thought process, which helps their learning.

Needs to get comfortable with subbing in an x value to get a y value that is on the line. Homework should help with this understanding.
Lesson went well, Charlotte was able to apply the formula and solve rudimentary questions. She has a good understanding of when to use which.

Double check working out, and practise more questions. Charlotte also confuses when to use sin, cos and tan, but is able to correct herself. I have given homework to do to help her with this.

Ashley has no issues with right angle trig, once I jogged her memory. She has a good grasp of the sine area rule and the cosine rule. Verbally expressed her thoughts and talked out loud about working out.
Ashley sometimes forgets about the units (after doing area questions, for example, which in an exam, would be a mark lost). I would reccomend her doublechecking her answers or getting use to the process of doublechecking.
Charlotte is a bright student, and learns quickly. Lesson went well, she understood my explanations.
