I enjoy creating authentic and purposeful learning experiences so that children can relate and find purpose in their learning.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am a fully qualified teacher, therefore, I understand what is essential for a student to learn. I present myself as an accessible and approachable person, therefore can build relationships with students. I can adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of each student. I can effectively encourage students to participate in subjects that they feel less confident in, and use strategies to improve their confidence in those subjects. I am incredibly self-reflective, allowing me to improve my teaching practice and correlate my teaching to pupil-progression.

I think the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to eliminate anxiety surrounding the subject, and create positive learning experiences through the use of praise and purposeful learning. It is important to acknowledge every achievement, no matter how big or minor, to increase confidence and self-worth. It is important that a tutor can provide constructive feedback so that students can progress.
