What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The student being able - in the mid/long run - to learn important problem-solving skills, for study, work and life; the teacher/tutor modelling for him/her resilience and encouraging repetition when needed (eg for maths)
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Passion, creativity and love for learning; I see potential in students and can help them detect their gaps in knowledge. I like finding solutions to problems
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Show him/her the way when he's in need and, ultimately, in a local writer's brilliant - and in my personal opinion truthful - words: "teach him how to learn"

George is diving into the exercises very enthusiastically -well done! With some guidance he is able to do the homework well and at speed (ending it all by the end of the hour). He accepts suggestions and different approaches to his own and is keen to ask both tutor and class teacher if in doubt about anything. He felt sure about both factorizing and expanding expressions (and uses well the answers given at the end of the book tool to check his work)...
Repetition and revision about basic operations (multiplication and long division) will still be useful; we can keep going with both homework from school and some additional exercises (COVID-19 permitting...)...

George is committed to the subject and is working very well both in class and at home during tuition. With some guidance he is happy to venture in any kind of exercise. Well done! He is also sustaining all the hour long work in one go - excellent effort!!!
We will continue doing what required at school and some additional exercises (eg: operations - focusing especially on long division for a while...)

GEORGE IS PASSIONATE ABOUT THE SUBJECT AT HAND AND IS DIVING INTO IT EXTREMELY PASSIONATELY! EXCELLENT! The working out is much clearer than it used to be and execution (of calculations) faster and conducted in a much more self-confident manner...
Some occasional "distraction" during the execution of the work - so we'll keep working on strategies to try and address them and also to build, with repetition, more somehow easier calculatons...

George has visibly improved in many ways: for instance in terms of interest in the subject; he is taking a lot of responsibility and pride with respect to his exercises/results and his working out has improved: fantastic! He is willing to ask questions (to both tutor and his class teacher) when unsure about something...
Keep developing strategies in order not to get stuck with small problems/issues that might hinder the calculations' final results; keep working on number skills 9so, for a while - even if/when calculator allowed - we might calculate first and check with calculator after having done the operation[s] ourselves first...
