What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students build confidence and reach that moment where concepts finally stick for them. I find it really rewarding being able to explain things in different ways depending on how each student learns best. Coming from a healthcare background, I've developed strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills, which I bring into tutoring as well. I enjoy creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while improving academically.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

My strengths as a tutor are my patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills. I am good at breaking down difficult concepts into simpler, more understandable steps and adjusting my teaching style depending on the student's learning needs. With my background in nursing and medicine, I've developed strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm and supportive, even when students are feeling overwhelmed or lacking confidence. I also try to remain approachable and encouraging, which helps create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I think the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to build their confidence, create a supportive learning environment, and help them develop genuine understanding rather than just memorising content. A good tutor should be patient, encouraging, and able to adapt explanations to suit the students individual learning style. I also think it’s important for a tutor to help students become more independent learners by teaching problem-solving strategies, study techniques, and critical thinking skills.

About Priyadharshni

About Me

Hi! I'm a postgraduate medical student with a nursing background who is passionate about making learning less overwhelming and more enjoyable. Having been through demanding healthcare degrees myself, I understand that every student faces different challenges, and I'm committed to creating a positive and encouraging space where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

My Experience

I've previously tutored students one-to-oneWhat You Can Expect, helping them improve both their understanding of the subject and their confidence. Through this experience, I learned that no single teaching method works for everyone, which is why I take the time to understand how each student learns best and adapt my sessions accordingly.

What You Can Expect

I aim to make lessons engaging, personalised, and practical. Together we'll break down difficult concepts into manageable steps, work through questions, and develop study strategies that suit your learning style. Whether you're preparing for exams or trying to stay on top of coursework, my goal is to help you feel confident, supported, and capable of achieving your academic goals.
