What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The greatest joy when it comes to tutoring is to see younger students or future graduates achieve the best of their potential through my tuition. The cheer of students when successfully solving a maths problem or understanding a hard concept always make me feel delighted and accomplished. By tutoring, somehow I have made a significant contribution to the society through the use of my expertise and experience.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths include:
- Experiences with gathering, planning and designing mathematical resources or lessons personalised to the students.
- Having a deep understanding of the challenges faced by students when preparing for the new HSC syllabus (particularly in Maths).
- Explaining scientific or mathematical concepts that are abstract or hard to understand.
- Ability to develop or offer guidance to students both personally and professionally for their future career.
- Consistently updating new questions, resources, learning and teaching strategies to cater for the changing HSC syllabus.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that a tutor cannot elevate a student's competency into a whole new level but they themselves do. Therefore, the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to help them recognise their potential and become more passionate about studying through personalised lessons, through which they can become engaged and self-develop their competency. For instance, consistently giving encouragement to students, providing or introducing a range of resources to them, and showing our enthusiasm and dedication to tutoring them are most important things a tutor can do, in my opinion.
