What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
The thing I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing my students improve and achieving their goals. When theyβre excited to tell me what they got in their recent exam or assignment it makes me feel very proud of them and it motivates me to help them succeed further.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I think my strengths as a tutor include my attention to detail and my ability to plan lessons. For instance, if I gave a student a revision quiz and noticed that they were struggling with certain topics, I would plan a lesson to focus on those weak topics and build up their confidence.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important things a tutor can do for a student are motivation, providing feedback and being supportive. As someone who personally struggled to keep up with high standards in school, I found that the support given from my teachers was integral to achieving my goals in the HSC. Having a supportive tutor motivates students to continue to do well which is why it is important. Also, feedback is one of the most useful things that a tutor can do for a student so that they are aware of exactly how to improve. Without feedback, students will only be left confused as to why they lost marks.
