What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Whilst I don't have any previous experience in tutoring, reflecting on the times I was in tutoring, I found the most enjoyable aspect to be the relationships formed with peers and the tutor. It was reassuring how despite in school I found it difficult to rely on peers and even teacher for help, tutoring, because of the supported learning environment it provided, was something I could depend on if I was struggling with my studies.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe I have a fairly good understanding of the mathematic and chemistry syllabus but I think my strengths as a tutor lie more into my patience and empathy. I don't have a unique high school academic or social experience and I believe that strengthens me as a tutor as I would be able to understand, to some extent, the position a student is in. I believe the empathy I am able to experience for a student would help me to work well with them as I would, hopefully, be seen by them as someone who is non-judgemental, understandable and someone who could genuinely help them in their struggles.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe being able to provide a dependable and welcoming support system for a student is one of the most important things a tutor should do. Based on personal experience, I struggled with finding and being willing to approach teachers at school for help and support with studies. However, it was because I was able to turn to my tutors, who I found to be incredibly welcoming and supporting, that I was actually able to perform well in school even without significant help from my school teachers. Tutors who provide a welcoming and dependable environment are valuable to students' growth.

She seemed to struggle with the fundamental meaning of key mathematic terms and this led to a lot of her confusion on what exactly was happening in a particular step. However, a lot of this confusion can be attributed to her not practicing her homework which is something she needs to take more responsibility for.

She had an excellent understanding of volume and surface area as she knew for the majority of questions how to approach them. With questions she got stuck on she only needed a little of bit of guidance before she knew what to do.
Remembering the different formulas is needed as she would sometimes look to me to give the answer. Additionally, she has to take more care with setting out her work as often it is hard to tell what she is solving for and what her final answer is.

As she was familiar with the differentiation of trigonometric identities she appeared to not struggled too much when it came to integrating intermediate difficulty questions.
She needs to work on remembering her exact values - this will allow her to waste less time in exams. Additionally pattern recognition of the different integral techniques is needed of improvement.
Once she understood the pattern of differentiation she could easily differentiate the trigonometric identities. She also could do some of the application questions.
Once she understood the pattern of differentiation she could easily differentiate the trigonometric identities. She also could do some of the application questions.
Recognising the different differentiation patterns is important for her development as I noticed she would get stuck but with my hints she would quickly get it.
