What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The ability to improve and enhance a students understanding of their subjects is a rewarding experience. I enjoy teaching students from a conversational point of view which allows the students to be relaxed and truly enjoy the subjects that they are studying.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
• Passionate – My eagerness to explain the beautiful nature of mathematics and the complexities that it withholds, will enable the students enjoy what they are learning and actually learn concepts instead of following procedures. We are not robots but mathematicians.
• Empathy – As a result of my own personal experience of the HSC, I will be able to understand the struggles of learning new content. Hence, I can cater the learning in a way that appeals to the needs of the students, allowing them to feel relaxed knowing that they will be able to grasp difficult concepts.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Far too often students fall into the trap of memorisation. They lack the conceptual understanding, thus when given a question that does not perfectly coincide with their rules, they panic. I strongly believe that as a tutor, my goal is to motivate students to really grasp concepts and truly appreciate the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of a rule or formula. This profound understanding will enable the students to tackle any complication with confidence.
I want to encourage students to be curious and explore the concepts they are studying, instead of focusing on purely how to get ‘good’ marks.
