Awande managed to pass both his math and science final exams. This is a major step forward in his learning and should be commended. He was clearly able to recognise the formulas needed to solve simple short answer questions, and was able to recall most relevant information related to the multiple choice questions in his science exam.

Where Awande struggled was with recognising and converting word problems into algebraic or mathematical forms in order to solve them. Unfortunately, this lead to Awande guessing the answers to multiple questions, and getting them wrong. Furthermore, Awande did not show full working out for some questions, leading to him losing marks in places he otherwise should not have. In his science exams, while he was able to recall most relevant information, the language he used for his responses was unscientific and inadequate to answer the questions in the required detail, leading to him losing marks due to lack of clarity or seemingly incorrect understanding.

Logan was able to correctly identify how squares and square roots are inverse functions. Furthermore, he was successfully able to use several algebraic techniques involving surds to simplify and solve certain problems. Logan has also improved in his arithmetic.

Logan still has a bit of trouble with his algebra and arithmetic. Furthermore, Logan seemed to struggle with his attention span, possibly owing to end of term and lack of interest.

Logan was able to understand and recognise simple and more complex surds, as well as perform operations with surds. He also learnt how to rationalise denominators containing surds.

Logan had some difficulties in his algebraic operations. Furthermore, he had some trouble performing operations with surds, particularly in multiplying surds.

Logan showed great understanding of theoretical and experimental probability, as well as an intuitive understanding of Venn diagrams, tree diagrams and two-way tables. He was able to quickly and correctly answer questions relating to the probability and frequency of events.

Logan struggled a little bit in answering some questions, possibly owing to the wording of the questions. Furthermore, he did make some small mistakes in his interpretation of certain concepts and questions.
