What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy most when I get to see the gears in students' heads turn as they slowly but surely come to comprehend concepts discussed in class. I've always enjoyed the inevitable "penny-drop" moment when suddenly things make sense and learning becomes enjoyable and motivational; when the pursuit of knowledge becomes more desirable than the achievement of marks on an exam.
I also do admittedly just enjoy performing for people, and guiding students towards enlightenment is just as thrilling as taking an audience along through an emotional journey.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor include:
- A bright, energetic personality expressing clear motivation to learn
- An awareness of the different ways in which students learn and an adaptability to match
- A sharp wit to not only compliment a student's sense of humour, but also to assert myself as an authority figure.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is foster a love for learning in order to produce an autonomous, bright-sparked individual ready to answer questions of the world and partake in the community at large. If school or the classroom is overwhelming or unhelpful to a student's learning, a tutor can help to process information and guide the student towards enlightenment and ultimately feel more motivated and self-assured in their own learning.
