What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
As a student, I can understand how frustrating it is to want to learn, yet not having the proper resources to. For many subjects such as science and maths, it is much easier and efficient when there is someone by your side to guide you through it. As a tutor, being able to help others through the learning process, and watching as they progress is something that I believe is very rewarding for both the student and I. It’s great to see someone learn and to know you helped them !My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Since I have two younger siblings who I’ve helped co-teach from a young age, I believe that communication (especially with younger students) is one of my strengths. I’ve learnt to break large pieces of complicated information down into small digestible pieces, which really aids in not only understanding, but truly grasping the details of the topic. For me, simply memorising isn’t a real method of learning, and I prefer to dive into the specifics, as it is much easier to remember when you truly understand.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things are to actually have a connection with a student, as well as actually having the proper knowledge to teach. Many students, especially younger ones, dread tuition, which is why a good relationship and a friendly tutor is crucial to maintain a healthy learning environment. Furthermore, I believe for a tutor, they must fully understand the subjects they are teaching. Simply being ‘good’ at a subject is not necessarily enough, but rather being able to view it from another’s perspective in order in order to teach others.Subjects Tutored 🎓
