What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I have always been someone who loves to help out fellow students and give feedback both inside and outside the classroom. Having tutored many of my classmates and fellow students, I find the whole process incredibly rewarding, as both a way of giving back to the community and finding intellectual stimulation. As they grow in their confidence and abilities, my own confidence in my tutoring abilities can also emerge.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I was only able to select one subject on the website, but I am confident in tutoring Maths up to Year 12 Standard, English up to Year Twelve Extension Two, as well as Legal Studies up to a Year 12 Level. I received band sixes and fives for all these subjects during my own HSC and feel confident in my tutoring abilities. My strength as a tutor lies in being able to give direct, clear, and honest feedback. I have a methodical and logical approach to teaching. I am able to give feedback in a constructive manner, and am excellent at breaking down larger topics into more manageable ideas.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that providing clarity through teaching to help students understand topics and subjects is incredibly important. Being able to take a concept from complex and stressful to simple and approachable for a student is an essential skill for any tutor. Doing so requires knowledge of the topic as well as a calm and friendly demeanour for the student, becoming a safe person within their learning environment.
