What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is the potential to change the lives of students. Being able to motivate their self esteem and make them realise their full potential that they might not know they had. By providing them with a fun and interactive teacher, they can feel more of a sense of belonging within the classroom, creating a sense of excitement before coming to class is something that I enjoy, witnessing the positive impacts I have on students.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

One of my key strengths as a tutor is being engaging and approachable. I try to make learning feel less like a chore and more like a conversation, especially by connecting topics to things the student enjoys or already understands. I’m also patient and good at breaking down concepts in different ways to suit different learning styles. My experience working with kids in OSHC and coaching basketball has really helped me adapt to different personalities and keep students motivated.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be adaptable to explaining concepts differently. Many students learn in different ways, and being able to break down concepts tailored for different students will really help them build true understanding and confidence. It’s about listening, observing how they respond, and adjusting your approach accordingly, such as using analogies, visual aids or simply rewording things differently, to adapt to one's learning style.
