What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy encouraging others to succeed and troubleshooting problems in different ways. Enjoy seeing others gain understanding and insight into their subjects. I also like explaining and interpreting problems in different ways.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am both an analytical and creative person and can visualise and teach concepts in many different ways. I can easily empathise with students and understand their difficulties. I am also a problem solver and enjoy solving problems and creating new solutions.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Help them become better students and improve their confidence in themselves. Help them reach their goals of success by improving their grades and creating a memorable experience of learning. The student will gain a sense of self and be more comfortable to ask questions about understanding difficult problems in class.

Maths - Byron mentioned he knows all the times tables, he does remember some of them without checking. Great effort! English - We re-read the first 10 pages of Chapter 1 of Unlikely Friends to identify words describing setting. He had fun imitating characters and knew nearly all of the words. Well done!
Maths - Byron got some questions wrong and took some guesses. Ideally he practices multiple multiplication steps for larger numbers if he does not remember them, e.g. 4 X 4 = 2 X 2 X 4 for larger numbers. English - Still needs help remembering what a Setting is in a story, may benefit from exploring different examples rather than from the book. Reminding to project his voice louder during reading.

Maths - Byron did great with the multiplication methods and place value. He also mentioned he was learning Arrays method at school. English - Good at describing traits or features of character from the Ninja Kid II story. Byron is very proactive and wants to read and write, like reading the poem or writing without being asked.
Maths - Great effort this week with multiplication methods and place value! English - Working on sentence structure, when to use commas and joining conjunction words like 'and'. He is still working out Setting of a story and understanding 'brainstorming' before writing.

Maths - Byron picked up on measurement and areas soon and understood this well. He is assertive to make suggestions about what to do when he knows. Suggesting to calculate multiplication addition steps in head if possible rather than 'addition' method involving breaking number into addition steps. English - Reading out-loud was good with some more tougher words like 'monumental'.
Maths - still practicing multiplication of 2 digits with 5x tables, and finding gaps in knowledge. English - Reading aloud in a more clear voice. In general, will slow down some topic changes to practice and let him lead and get quiz questions correct, too many topics in short time may be distracting.
