What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy the process of helping kids learn an idea or concept, as I'm quite familiar with the process myself. I like to give other kids the same chance that I had to understand topics that make subjects hard, as a class is usually only enjoyable if you understand its contents, as I've had to learn the hard way in the past.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I am patient and stay positive, as I was not great at math growing up. I know persistence, as I went through a math institution myself (Kumon) and know what it's like not to understand sometimes. I learned mathematics through hard work, and I can help translate that to kids learning both mathematics and English.
Most important things I can do for a student π
For me, it's super important for a tutor to keep the lesson interactive and somewhat interesting, as interest fuels motivation. However, it's important not to forget that repetition is key in learning and retaining information. Certain math concepts need to be repeated to engrain into memory. Essays and writing styles have to be written repeatedly to be understood properly. In these tedious times, patience and understanding are key.
