What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to communicate and share my knowledge with people who can hopefully utilise it to come as far as I have in academic success, as well as the satisfaction that comes with seeing desired outcomes in grades.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Besides my ability to understand the work that the student is required to do, I feel my communication and leadership skills that I have developed after being a prefect in the year 12 leadership team will assist me in withholding the authority required for a student-tutor relationship. Furthermore, my experience in all kinds of workplaces has allowed me to develop the ability to adapt to working with different people, which I believe will be useful when tutoring students with different levels of learning and understanding.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing for a tutor to do for a student, is simply be patient and understanding. The reason the student has come to you as a tutor, is because they are struggling with a given subject, so being able to understand what the student is having trouble with is crucial, as well as being patient and nurturing if they do not understand the work. This is the most efficient way for a student to learn, as they won’t become overwhelmed and will view you as the tutor as someone who they can trust and listen to without getting upset or annoyed.
