What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The most rewarding about tutoring, I have found, is to be able to watch my students grow more confident in their abilities as time goes on. I have found that many of the people I have tutored often begin to look down upon themselves for struggling with the content. Therefore, being able to watch them grow not only academically, but also socially as they answer questions more readily and are less afraid to "get it wrong" has been particularly enjoyable for me.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am a recent high school graduate and as such, I have found that I can relate well to my students who are currently in VCE. I remember being in their shoes so well that I find pinpointing what aspect of the content they may be struggling with fairly easy. I have also grown up helping my younger cousins with their homework quite often. Such an experience has allowed me to develop techniques and teaching styles that are both engaging and efficient. It is through them that I have learnt how to cater my teaching to each individual student.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe, more than anything else, that a tutoring space should feel judgement free for a student. A student should not feel hesitant to ask questions or to clarify a concept. In fact, I believe it to be a good sign if a student is able to outright say that my explanation is not what they need or understand. Fostering such a safe and trusting relationship, I believe, is critical to ensure that my student gets the most out of their tutoring session and can improve not just academically, but also socially and mentally.Subjects Tutored 🎓
