What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the ‘aha’ moments where a student grasps a concept and everything clicks for them. Being a part of that process where I can guide them to those moments and watch them apply what they’ve learnt is very rewarding.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my strengths as a tutor is my ability to empathize and view lessons from the student’s perspective. This helps me identify whether something is poorly phrased or confusing, allowing me to adjust and improve on my explanation. It also enables me to adapt my teaching method to suit each student’s individual learning needs. Finally I have strong subject knowledge and a lot of experience in lesson planning.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is foster independent thinking and understanding. At the end of the day, there is a big difference in simply knowing a concept and truly understanding it. The goal should be to guide students towards a level of comprehension where they can think critically and confidently approach questions with a grasp of the underlying concepts.
