What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I absolutely love that moment when a student finally understands something. The wash of relief that floods over their face when they realise that it's finally starting to make sense- that makes me so excited, and it's one of the core reasons I love to teach people.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am very easy to get along with, making people feel instantly comfortable and safe enough to ask (and discuss) anything. I also think I am very patient and ready to admit when I can be wrong or when I need to take a different approach to my teaching. Additionally, I rarely get stressed and maintain a calm composure 90% of the time.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Patience, adaptability, and friendliness. A tutor needs to be able to put their student at ease so they feel safe enough to ask questions they may feel are 'dumb'. Students also need to feel they can make mistakes without consequences. Furthermore, I believe that it is vital a tutor can adapt to each student's learning style, making lessons specific to unique needs. This allows for the best possible outcomes. Finally, patience- it is critical that a tutor maintains a level head and is composed enough to work in a situation where they may have to repeat themselves various times.
