What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy sharing my ideas and knowledge with students who are eager to learn. Whenever I can help students with their struggles on certain topics, it does cheer me up. When they successfully do a problem, I pride myself knowing that they earned a valuable experience.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I would consider myself a patient type of person. I wouldn't rush too much with my explanations, but when the students have clearly understood the topic after I cover their understanding, I can also pick up the pace. I can also help students understand with analogies, mostly to do with real-world applications

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A good tutor needs to know the content, but more importantly, they need to identify gaps in the student's understanding, even when the students aren't sure where they're struggling. As their tutor, I will ask some surface level questions on different parts of the topics to gauge their understanding.

About Justin

A little about me

Hi, I'm Justin! I'm currently studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in AI (Artificial Intelligence). I've always been passionate when it comes to maths and physics, and understanding the principles behind them. In my free time, I like to improve my coding skills and polish my theory on the engineering studies I have learned.

Why I became a tutor

I became a tutor to seek opportunity to help others grow and share my knowledge with them. I see lots of students struggle with topics which may seem hard at first, but they just need a "click" to let their brain juices flowing, and I am all for guiding them there.

My tutoring approach

I believe every student have different studying styles, so I will adapt a suitable style for them which is tailored to their needs.I focus on creating a safe environment for the student to be comfortable sharing their ideas with me, and I will never discourage students to ask me questions, even if it sounds nonsensical to them. I will break down concepts using anaogies to guide the students step by step untl they are confident of themselves, however, I will not spoon-feed or else they will become to dependent and won't be able to do the problems themselves in a test environment.
