What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love helping people, whether it be outside of school or in school. It’s genuinely rewarding to watch someone go from confused or unsure to confident and capable—especially when they start believing in themselves. I also really enjoy figuring out how to explain things in a way that works for them, not just repeating what’s in the textbook. Every student thinks differently, so it’s always a fun challenge.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my biggest strength is definitely adaptability. Depending on the student, I can change my explanation of a certain topic so that it easier for them to understand. Patience is also one of my strengths, and it helps a lot with tutoring as it takes time for students to grasp the idea and concepts, and you can’t rush them.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Don’t make students memorize, make them understand it in their own way. A lot of the topics that are taught can actually be related to previous topics. If they can see that connection between each topic, then understanding tends to become easier. Also, we shouldn’t put too much pressure on them. That means don’t explain too quickly, but instead clearly and accurately. Such an environment can help the student build confidence in the subjects they struggle in.
