What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I greatly enjoy seeing my students grasp and comprehend subjects which they previously found foreign or struggle with. It brings me a great sense of satisfaction and validates my work.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

When it comes to mathematics in particular, I like to approach problems using general intuition, as I understand that sometimes students may find it difficult to understand the various mathematical processes through rules and proofing. I always try to use a logical approach which the student can relate to, and can develop further thinking from.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

To be understanding, acknowledge that different students have different capabilities which requires a unique individualized approach. The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to understand said student, and adjust their methods accordingly.

About Raymond

Brief Background

Hi! My name is Raymond, however most people just call me Ray. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Economics with an International Business minor, in the University of Sydney. I have experience in freelance tutoring during my secondary education, where I covered subjects such as sociology, mathematics, and business studies. Additionally I also tutored for after-school curricular activities such as Worlds Scholars Cup, Model United Nations, and general debate/public speaking. I graduated from my secondary education in Indonesia with an ATAR equivalent score of 92.8, after which I joined the Army for 2 and a half years. I am a patient, highly motivated individual, and I take great care into ensuring my students do not only understand how to solve the question at hand, but intuitively understand the logic behind the concepts.
