What do I enjoy most about tutoring? š
What I enjoy most is guiding a student past a tricky concept until it finally clicks, then watching them put it to use in a way that makes sense to them. Teaching has always come naturally and so I was the go to explainer in high school and still am at uni. I'm patient and persistent, so I'll keep at it until the idea sticks.
My Strengths as Tutor šŖ
My greatest strength as a tutor is turning complicated ideas into something that feels easy. I take away the jargon and break big problems into small wins. I read the room quickly, and if an explanation doesn't work, I pivot to a different example or a different relatable analogy. I am also quite patient and I stick with a student until they can walk me through the solution themselves. That patience comes from a genuine desire to see them succeed.
Most important things I can do for a student š
The things I consider most important for tutors are clarity, confidence, and independence. Clear explanations can turn topics that a student might shy away from into smaller ideas that they can relate to and therefore understand. Confidence grows when you celebrate small wins and frame mistakes as part of the learning process. Afterwards, independence follows once a student can do the questions themselves, through sharing study tricks and problem solving habits so they can thrive without the tutor. Alongside positive encouragement and the student leaves not just smarter but stronger.

About Akhil
Your goals. Your pace. My support.
Hi, Iām Akhil, a Monash Software Engineering and Commerce student. I am a patient tutor who listens first. In our first session I ask what feels confusing, where you lose marks, and how you prefer to learn. Then I design a plan around your goals, not a generic worksheet. We break topics into simple steps, use plain English, and practice with examples that match your school work. Each week we set one or two targets and finish with a quick check so you know exactly what to revise. I adapt the pace to you and keep the room judgment free. If you want calm, clear lessons that build confidence and results, I would be glad to help.
