What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The ability to completely turn a student's perception about a subject just by using the right tools and motivation is what I love. As someone who hated Chemistry and Math, I learned (and had fun learning) to love it and excel in it with the help of my tutors. I want to help other students not just excel in but to enjoy doing these subjects just like how my tutors did for me. Interacting with a wide array of students and learning how different minds approach a problem is also an intriguing prospect for me.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am extremely friendly and approachable. I believe I have a sharp eye for recognizing "quiet students" who may be less proactive than the rest as I was once that kid. I am confident that I can bring them out of their comfort zone and enhance their learning. I am able to creatively find new ways to present content. Students these days have a short attention span and cannot merely learn from large chunks of text. I am competent in making use of multi-modal resources which I can use to innovatively plan lessons that are engaging. Taking initiative to bring the student out of their comfort zone. In a lot of cases, students fear showing their lack of knowledge, especially in group settings. However, it is important for the tutor to recognize this and invite the student into the circle of discussion and let them contribute. It is crucial to create a safe space that is conducive and comforting. Important to highlight that it is okay to ask questions and not know the answers. Not every student is the same. My life
I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Western Australia. I can fluently speak two languages and am learning Indonesian as my third language. I enjoy watching movies, playing sports & going on long drives to find new places to eat. I love kebabs and would eat them everyday if I could.
