I find tutoring to be highly rewarding, since it allows me to guide a student who may have been struggling and to watch them grow, both academically and in their resilience and persistence.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My methodology as a tutor focuses on diagnosing where a student is at, both in general and with specific concepts and topics. This reduces the frustration experienced by the student, which can arise due to unrealistic expectations and explanations above or below their level. In conjunction with this, I always maintain a patient attitude, as well as ensuring the student feels respected and welcome to ask questions at any time.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
From both my own experiences of being tutored, and being a tutor myself, the single most important thing a tutor can do for a student is create the space for them to be honest when they don't understand something, or when an explanation isn't working for them. When this is achieved, the tutor can tailor their resources, preparation and explanations specifically to the needs of the student, and target weaker areas more effectively. This requires a level of rapport and respect between tutor and student, but ultimately allows for funner and more productive lessons!Subjects Tutored 🎓
