Anthony brings a solid scientific foundation to his tutoring, holding an honours degree in science and years of hands-on research experience. He has spent many years working in laboratories, collecting and analysing data, writing reports, and explaining complex concepts to researchers and junior staff. This means he can break down challenging Maths and Science ideas into clear, step-by-step explanations for high school students, and help primary students build strong foundations in logical thinking and problem-solving.
Anthony has several years of formal tutoring experience, delivering 2–3 hour tutorials in core science subjects to university students. He has taught key learning outcomes, marked assessments, and guided students who were struggling with core concepts to reach higher levels of understanding. This tutor is very comfortable answering “why” questions, using real-world examples from his research background to make abstract ideas concrete and relatable for both primary and high school learners.
Through mentoring junior researchers and running seminars, Anthony has developed a calm, structured teaching style that suits students who may feel anxious about Maths or Science. He is used to planning sessions, checking understanding regularly, and adjusting his explanations until they click. In tutoring, he focuses on building confidence by celebrating small wins and teaching students how to approach problems methodically, so they not only improve their marks but also feel more in control of their own learning.
