Learning Chemistry feels like learning a new language. It's hard in the beginning, you don't know what to look out for and even though you recognise things here and there that doesn't mean you can read a formula, let alone understand it. It's one of those subjects where it clicks or it just doesn't. Tutors we work with understand that. They've been there, they had to overcome the same hurdle and they are passionate about helping...
Learning Chemistry feels like learning a new language. It's hard in the beginning, you don't know what to look out for and even though you recognise things here and there that doesn't mean you can read a formula, let alone understand it. The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Oscar has begun to learn the strategies being taught to him. He is reserved and has learnt to talk out aloud. He was also hesitant to put pen to paper but has begun to do so. He needs to learn and remember much of the course notes to assist in answering the problems. Whilst he does know the material he finds it difficult to recall it at the appropriate time of solving a problem. This will come with practice and more diligent studying of the textbook
Callum's attitude has been satisfactory. He has displayed a pattern of cancelling tutorials at late notice. I have thus had to cease tuition with him. Callum's effort in English has been commendable. He is on the right track to be able to better showcase his knowledge and skills in VCE. Callum comes across as a bit disorganised and has trouble juggling multiple priorities.
Griffin's weakness should be in how to calculate different interests chapter and some problems on using calculator. If Griffin can finish the questions on his textbook in time, i can give him more questions. This should be good for him.
We're really happy with Rachel, and Sophie is relating to her well. We are seeing positive results in Sophie's math grades at school already.
Murray has achieved 100% in his maths test recently so I am happy he has gained confidence and skills. Yoseph is great asset to your business. Thank you again.
I am very happy with Kavan, he is a great tutor, very patient and extremely intelligent.
