Students reach the next level when they work with someone who understands their needs, who’s available and honestly cares about their goal. That kind of support goes a long way, especially with chemistry, as it tends to be elusive and hard to master.
In most cases, that kind of help isn't available at school. Teachers already have a full classroom to manage and are generally swamped with tasks. Maybe you've already thought of finding a local Carrum chemistry tutor for your child, but you didn't know where to start and what to look out for.
We can help.
This is what we do. We organise one-on-one tutoring in your home, at a time that's most convenient for you. You choose what the tutor covers and how often they come. Not quite sure what your child needs to learn? No need to worry, we'll figure it out.
We charge a simple hourly fee and last but not least, in case you don't like the first lesson - we consider it a trial and match you with another Carrum chemistry tutor.
We've seen it time and time again, all it takes for a student to start trying again is that one aha moment.
The right tutor can get your child there.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Mainly try to focus on taking visual approaches and talking aloud during the process of a question. I find this is the best approach as it is easier to follow and I can see how he is approaching the questions, as well as the ability to visualise questions being very helpful in the future
Dion always has a positive attitude towards tuition, which is very encouraging. Dion has had some trouble this month with his energy levels during sessions, and has directly mentioned as much. It has caused some problems with his focus and capacity to keep track of terms within equations. Dion, as always, keeps his workbook very well ordered, though he would experience less confusion if he gave himself more space to write his equations.
I think the main area to review is algebra as there are still some concepts that could benefit from addressing again. Algebraic modelling for worded problems is probably the area Tristan has the most difficulty.

We are very happy with Baily. She is very competent in math, but is also a very good teacher. She makes learning fun and the boys' relationship with her is developing well. As a person, Baily has a lovely manner about her, is very respectful, but confident.
We are happy with Jordan so far. He seems to have acknowledged the areas Kate has problems with and is giving her homework tasks for these, as well as helping with some current class topics. She already seems to be feeling better about maths.
We're really happy with Rachel, and Sophie is relating to her well. We are seeing positive results in Sophie's math grades at school already.
