Learning Chemistry feels like learning a new language. It's hard in the beginning, you don't know what to look out for and even though you recognise things here and there that doesn't mean you can read a formula, let alone understand it. It's one of those subjects where it clicks or it just doesn't. Tutors we work with understand that. They've been there, they had to overcome the same hurdle and they are passionate about helping...

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Jas has improved in her format skills, she is know setting out her work clearly. She is too hard on herself when she gets a question wrong and needs to build her confidence, she will often answer correctly the first time, but then doubts herself. This is something we are working on.
Capi's attitude and effort during lessons is of very good quality and maintains a high standard, which makes tutoring more enjoyable for and easier for both of us. I encourage her to keep this up.
She struggles to understand what the question is asking of her until I get her to read it a few times and get her to underline important bits etc. I noticed that a big problem for her is confidence. She knows her content and she thinks of the right answer but she second guesses herself.
I am very happy so far with Joseph who has started teaching Thomas. He is keen to work with him and seems to be enjoying their sessions
Pippa is very happy with Dexter. Her tutoring style is very effective and Pippa had excellent results in her mid-year exams.
Sam's first session with Wahidah went really well. He really liked her and responded well to her teaching.
