Students reach the next level when they work with someone who understands their needs, who’s available and honestly cares about their goal. That kind of support goes a long way, especially with chemistry, as it tends to be elusive and hard to master.
In most cases, that kind of help isn't available at school. Teachers already have a full classroom to manage and are generally swamped with tasks. Maybe you've already thought of finding a local Canberra chemistry tutor for your child, but you didn't know where to start and what to look out for.
We can help.
This is what we do. We organise one-on-one tutoring in your home, at a time that's most convenient for you. You choose what the tutor covers and how often they come. Not quite sure what your child needs to learn? No need to worry, we'll figure it out.
We charge a simple hourly fee and last but not least, in case you don't like the first lesson - we consider it a trial and match you with another Canberra chemistry tutor.
We've seen it time and time again, all it takes for a student to start trying again is that one aha moment.
The right tutor can get your child there.
Give it a try!

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Kira is very enthusiastic about learning. She listens attentively when she is being thought and takes her time to read through the question and tries to understand it before attempting to solve the problem.
The final session before we ended for the year was a poor representation as he was rather sick. He knows that he is easily distracted during sessions and works against it to try to stay focused. Effort out of sessions is always very good. In sessions it's also good, especially given he's working against distractions. He might be better off having some extra paper for doing rough notes as he appears to want to keep his work neat, at the cost of doing some working out to understand a problem more precisely.
Sienna needs to develop more efficient strategies to solve her problems and avoid rule dependence. She can do this by thinking of different ways to solve a problem rather than just the one way. Sienna's problem area remains the same. Her ability to solve questions that relate to real life situations is still lacking. We will continue to work on this in the future.
Monique is very happy. In just two lessons, she has found a huge difference. I commend Katy as Monique finds her very knowledgeable, friendly and easy going. I am pleased as I too can see the huge difference in Monique's confidence. Thank you for recommending Katy, she is a marvel.
All good so far. Lauren has said that she is coping better in Maths at School so that's a good start.
Everything seems to be going along quite well at the moment, Lawrence is a nice tutor and Arawyn seems to like him.
