Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?
Give us a call and we will organise a chemistry tutor in Belconnen to come to your home for one-on-one tutoring, at a time that works for you and your child.
We allocate local Belconnen chemistry tutors so scheduling is never an issue. Changed your mind or need to postpone the lesson? No worries, there are no cancellation costs.
On top of that, the first lesson is a trial so if you don't like the tutor we'll find someone else who is better suited.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Improving steadily in most areas such as subtraction, addition, multiplication and fractions. Is talking aloud as well as using visual aids, whether it be his fingers or counting blocks. Occasionally rushes through reading questions causing him to answer incorrectly.
Kyran generally has great enthusiasm for maths, especially for his age. He finds solving difficult questions very rewarding which is a great attitude to have in a subject. However, he shows a markedly lower enthusiasm for areas that he is not familiar with and is more resistant in those areas.
Confidence is growing, but I have seen that Tayla at times seems set in her own ways and is a little apprehensive about attempting new methods. Practice with multiple strategies and methods will build the experience and understanding to know what is the most concise method in each situation.
Jack is really happy with Jereme, we don't expect miracles straight away but just having the support is comforting for him. Time will tell.
Thanks for following up. The tutoring is going well with Patrick. He is a nice polite young man, and professional, and Nick has responded positively. I can already see a bit more confidence with his Maths work.
Thanks for your email. I am happy to let you know that Jessica has settled down very well with Patrick. She is actually enjoying her tutoring sessions and has already felt a bit stronger and more confident. I have taken some time to listen to them and they get on well and Jessica does not feel uncomfortable to ask questions. Both Jess and I are so far, very happy with Patrick's tutoring.
