What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I think the most enjoyable aspect of tutoring is being able to have a positive impact on students - being able to guide them and seeing their results rise. However, for me, it's not really just the grades rising that is the most enjoyable aspect of tutoring, but it is more so when students become more confident over time in themselves and develop a genuine love of learning for what they are doing.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
Apart from having been an academic myself, having attending a top selective school in Victoria, I believe my strengths lie in my empathy and ability to understand the positions that various students are in. I know what it's like to struggle with a concept at first and the feeling of confusion that can accompany it, but I also know what it takes to win academic awards and reach the top-end. In this sense, I'm able to cater to a variety of students with different goals, as I'm able to understand the position each of them are in and adjust my teaching method accordingly.
Most important things I can do for a student π
Being approachable is very important, as I don't want students to feel scared or hesitant to ask for help. Asking for feedback is another important thing that a tutor should do. As a tutor, I will always aim to improve the way that I teach, so asking for feedback can help me adjust the way I teach students, allowing for an improved teaching experience. Fostering an environment where students feel safe and secure is essential to ensuring that they feel motivated and enthusiastic to learn.

About Dravin
Confident Communicator with Proven English Excellence
Dravin is a high-achieving English student, recognised as the top performer in his cohort and a state finalist in senior debating. Years of competitive debating have sharpened his ability to explain complex ideas clearly, construct strong arguments, and help students organise their thoughts in both essays and oral presentations. This tutor brings those skills directly into lessons, teaching students how to plan, write and speak with confidence while also building the critical thinking needed for high school English success.
Experienced Student Mentor Who Understands School Life
As a student mentor and leader, Dravin has guided younger students through their transition into high school, helping them manage new subjects, expectations and workloads. He has supported staff with orientation activities and day-to-day administrative tasks, giving him insight into how schools operate and what teachers expect. This tutor uses that experience to create sessions that are structured yet friendly, focusing on study habits, organisation and exam preparation alongside subject content, so students feel supported both academically and personally.
Organised, Engaging and Involved in School Community
Dravinβs leadership extends beyond the classroom. He has served in student representative roles and as an executive member and secretary of a large school club, where he coordinated events, managed communication systems and worked with external partners. He has also captained a school sports team to a state championship, showing persistence and team-focused leadership. In tutoring, he draws on this background to plan lessons carefully, keep students on track, and use real examples from his own school involvement to make learning practical, engaging and relatable.
