What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love the rewarding feeling it gives teaching, especially when you have enthusiatic students who enjoy the challenge and love learning. As well, I love developing bonds with the student as I bring them through high school and I am able to both teach and learn about them as well. Additionally, I love learning how different students learn and what methods of teaching are most effective for learning so I can better my teaching methods as well as understand what works best for different types of students.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my strengths as a tutor is my relatability. I am a young, recently graduated student and I feel as that helps young high schoolers feel comfortable in a way to tell me straight up if they don't know something or if I'm not explaining it right. As well, since I've just recently graduated, I am still very fresh on the content and confident in performing such and explaining it to the level necessary. Another one of my strengths is my teaching ability. I actively involve the student and make sure they are learning and being attentive, as well, I adapt my teaching style based on the student.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Having general conversation as well as learning the content is very important for the student to become comfortable with the tutor as once the student is familiar and comfortable with the tutor, they become more eager to learn, enjoy the learning process with a now friend as well, they are not scared to ask for extra help when they need more of it. Another important thing is checking in with the student and building a bond, e.g. checking in on them before an exam to wish them luck and later asking them how it went. Also, learning how the student best learns it important to better teach.
