What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Being able to pass on my own experiences and knowledge in a meaningful way, and seeing my students improve and gain a love for learning. I was able to see my primary school students gain acceptance into the high schools they were aiming for, something which was incredibly rewarding to me. This demonstrated to me not only my capabilities as a tutor, but also the impact effective tutoring can have on others in helping them achieve their goals. Their happiness from their success is something that continues to motivate me to this day.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that I am optimistic, dedicated, and adaptable, which contribute to my strengths as a tutor. I firmly believe in tutoring as a position to help students reach their highest potential, and that everyone is capable of doing more than what they believe they can - I hope to help them realise and achieve that. I am also dedicated, in providing quality tutoring and support to my students even when they may not feel motivated. I also consider myself flexible, and someone who can cater to and effectively teach a wide range of people, adjusting my lessons/tutoring to benefit the student.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
To recognise the student's limits, and to help them reach beyond them. A tutor should set realistic goals for students to help them stay motivated and to make progress in their learning, however, they should also encourage students to achieve higher through effective communication and tutoring support. As the student's needs should be a tutor's priority, a tutor should realise those goals first, then help a student further.
