What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

it may be a little sterotypical to say, but helping people is the main joy that comes from tutoring for me. when i informally tutored in the school tutor program, it was such a joy to see the people i tutor improve.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

About Aayush

High-achieving medicine student with strong Maths background

Aayush is a high-achieving university student studying medicine, with an ATAR in the high 90s, showing he understands what it takes to excel in Maths and English through the senior years. Having recently completed school himself, he is very familiar with current curriculum expectations, exam styles, and the step-by-step reasoning teachers look for. This tutor explains concepts clearly, breaks problems into manageable parts, and helps students build the study habits that lead to strong, consistent results.

Clear communicator who keeps students calm and confident

Through his experience in fast-paced customer-facing roles and in medical studies, Aayush has developed excellent communication and listening skills. He is used to explaining things simply to people under pressure, which translates well to students who may feel anxious about tests or homework. He checks understanding by getting students to β€œteach back” ideas, uses everyday examples to make abstract topics easier, and focuses on building confidence as well as accuracy.

Patient, organised support for long-term progress

This tutor brings patience, reliability and a long-term view to his sessions. As he will be based in one place for several years while studying medicine, families can rely on stable, ongoing support rather than short-term help. Aayush likes to set small, realistic goals with students, track their progress over time, and adjust his approach based on what works best for each child. He uses past exam-style questions and targeted practice to turn weaknesses into strengths.
