What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is its ability to help shape understanding. Everyone’s minds process information differently, make connections through different pathways, and understand things their own unique way. As a tutor, I find it extremely rewarding learning about how my students’ minds operate so that I can tailor my teaching methods to the ways their minds are wired for maximum learning.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My core strengths as a tutor are my ability to help students make connections between topics and understand the relationship between the content that they are learning rather than viewing it as separate “loads†the student needs to memorise. I am efficient at deconstructing difficult concepts in clear, manageable steps that students can follow along with. I am also patient, organised, and adaptable, and can easily tailor my explanations to suit each student’s needs.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The central theme to my teaching approach is teaching students how to understand, connect, and apply knowledge so that they are not only digesting the content they need to learn, but also gradually becoming more confident as independent learners. Fostering a genuine understanding of what they are learning, why it works, and how different concepts are related to each other extends their critical thinking capabilities beyond simply teaching them information to produce in an assessment. Another approach I deeply value is encouraging students to develop genuine curiosity about their content.
