Sophie graduated from St Hilda's in 2024 and is currently studying a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Curtin University. She achieved an ATAR of 99+ and studied the following ATAR subjects: Maths Methods, Maths Specialist, Literature, Chemistry and Economics.
Sophie has experience tutoring students from kindergarten to year 10 in Maths, Science, English and Humanities. Through private tutoring, she has worked with lower high school students in organisational skills, completing homework tasks and revising for assessments. Volunteering with Teach Learn Grow (TLG) has also allowed her to teach foundational maths skills at a primary school level.
In addition to her ATAR studies, Sophie was involved in various extracurricular activities, including sports, music, and community service. Being a House Prefect in year 12 taught her that good leadership, teamwork and organisation always lead to success. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, listening to music, and travelling. As a well-rounded person, Sophie is sure to find common interests with her students, which helps build trust and rapport.
