Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Help with specific questions they have, not just go over every syllabus point each lesson, thus tailoring the lesson to their pace. Allow them to build confidence and actually enjoy the subject they are doing. Provide tips and tricks for their other subjects as well, especially in year 11 and year 12! Create a good relationship with the students so they feel comfortable to ask many questions.

About Anaya

High-achieving maths and English support for school students

Anaya is a high-performing ATAR graduate who achieved more than 90%, with particular strengths in Maths Applications, English, Chemistry and Human Biology. This strong academic background means she understands the demands of school assessments and can clearly explain tricky concepts step by step. She focuses on building confidence as well as marks, helping students move from β€œjust getting by” to feeling in control of their subjects. Anaya is especially suited to primary and lower secondary students who need patient, thorough guidance.

Clear communicator who makes learning feel approachable

Anaya is described as easy to talk to, organised and very good at communicating – qualities that matter when a child feels stuck or anxious about schoolwork. She has experience working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment, which has sharpened her ability to listen carefully and respond clearly. In tutoring sessions, she breaks tasks into manageable chunks and encourages students to ask questions freely, creating a calm, non-judgemental space where they feel comfortable trying, making mistakes and improving.

Well-rounded mentor with a creative edge

Beyond academics, Anaya has a strong interest in art and makeup, and a good understanding of how to present information visually. She uses this creativity in her tutoring, for example by drawing simple diagrams for science topics or designing colourful study sheets for maths and English. Her skills in critical thinking and problem solving help students learn how to tackle exam-style questions logically. Parents can expect a tutor who not only knows the content, but also makes learning engaging and relatable.
