What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I want to tutor so I can help other students achieve the same results as I did. I want to help them do their best and experience the joy and satisfaction that comes from accomplishing their goals!

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think that I’m very easy to talk to and given I’ve just completed the HSC in 2025, I feel very capable of helping students use new tools to do their best. I also think I’m a relatively good communicator and can help students with understanding difficult concepts.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think a really good tutor pays attention to what the student is struggling with and will focus on that topic or subject. It’s really important to target the areas you find the least enjoyable as they are the ones you’re most likely to lose marks on. I also think amazing tutors actually care about their students’ results and that is reflected in their enthusiasm to help them with their work.

About Robert

Top-achieving maths and English role model for school students

Robert is a high-performing Year 12 graduate who achieved more than 90% across advanced Maths (including Extension 1 & 2), Physics, Economics and English Advanced, finishing first in his year. This tutor understands exam-style questions, marking criteria and how to break complex ideas into clear, step-by-step explanations. As a recent student himself, he relates easily to primary and high school learners and can show them the exact strategies he used to move from “stuck” to confident in both maths and English.

Clear communicator who makes tricky concepts simple

Through running his own tech support work, Robert has spent years explaining complicated computer and software problems in plain language to people of all ages. This experience translates directly into tutoring: he listens carefully, asks the right questions, then explains maths and English concepts in calm, logical stages. He is organised in sessions, focuses on building strong foundations, and helps students develop their own problem-solving steps so they aren’t just memorising answers but genuinely understanding.

Motivated mentor with real-world problem-solving skills

Robert brings a practical, down-to-earth style to tutoring. Having balanced top-level study with running small businesses, he can coach students in study habits, time management and how to stay calm under pressure in exams. He uses real-life examples from technology and everyday situations to make abstract maths and English ideas feel relevant and interesting. This tutor aims to build not only marks, but also independence and confidence, so students feel capable tackling new challenges on their own.
