What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
I find great pleasure helping people to the best of my ability. I enjoy tutoring as I could play a role in helping students succeed, reaching their desired potential. However, from a student perspective who recently graduated high school in 2025 who also attended tutoring personally, I enjoyed how tutoring gave me a place of academic support and was able to rely on a tutor who could fill in my grey areas of a certain subject, which I aim to provide myself.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
Some of my interpersonal strengths are my profound senses of patience and compassion. I believe this allows for a safe learning environment for students to grow ans it allows me to understand the struggles students may not understand in areas of their curriculum. Lastly, I encourage independence for students, emphasising the importance of teaching students how to learn and think critically, in turn allowing more space to grow confidence in their subject and improve.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
I strongly believe some of the most important things a tutor can do, is provide personalised academic guidance through identifying any gaps of the student and tailoring their methods. Secondly, itโs crucial for tutors to foster skills such as confidence and critical thinking by being patient, actively listening and providing positive reinforcement to give students a safe environment where they feel comfortable to ask questions.
